The mission of the SDHBA is: to be the voice of the residential construction industry; to achieve an environment in which our membership can operate profitably; and to promote affordability and choice in housing for all.
The Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS) is a Provincial professional association of individuals dedicated to providing high quality public services through certification, educational programs and interaction amongst its members.
OSSGA is a not-for-profit industry association representing over 280 sand, gravel, and crushed stone producers and suppliers of valuable industry products and services. Collectively, our members supply the substantial majority of the approximately 164 million tonnes of aggregate consumed annually in the province to build and maintain Ontario’s infrastructure needs. OSSGA works in partnership with government and the public to promote a safe and competitive aggregate industry contributing to the creation of strong communities in the province.
Throughout its 67 year history, the SCA has undergone many changes. From building renovations to staff & volunteers, it has changed to accommodate a continually shifting industry. It has grown into an organization which represents over 300 union & non-union contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers from all over the province. With the help of COCA, we continually improve liaisons with local, provincial and federal government which in turn help to determine comprehensible construction laws for Northern Ontario contractors. The name was officially changed on September 2, 2015 to the Northeastern Ontario Construction Association to properly reflect the vast area of membership that it represents.
To use the Aggregate Calculator, simply enter the width, length, and thickness of your job, and click on whethier you are measuring the thickness in feet or inches. Finally, click on the Calculate button. The calculator will estimate the number of tons of aggregate that will be required. Please note that densities will vary somewhat between different materials, but the default values assigned for Base Rock and Drain Rock are good standard "rules of thumb" for estimating.
